CRAFTING A FUTURE FOR MODERNISM

Sarah Marson / Heritage Resource Consultant

March 26, 2:00pm–4:30pm

Historic preservationist and educator, Sarah Marsom, brings her Tiny Activist Project to Syracuse and the New York Statewide Preservation Conference!

The modern design movement brought innovative ideas and new design to the American landscape. Celebrate the architecture of the Everson Museum by sewing a doll inspired by architect I.M. Pei. Sewing was an integral part of the lives of many mid-century modern women, so there is no better way to pay homage to one of the most iconic modernists! While sewing Tiny I.M. Pei's, participants will learn lesser known aspects of Pei's life and discuss preservation of modern architecture! No experience sewing? Do not worry! This is a beginner level sewing workshop.

All materials and tools provided including sewing machines. Pre-registration required, space is limited.

Members $0 / Non-Members $40
