PAPERMAKING WITH NATURAL FIBERS

Learn the magic of papermaking in this one-day introductory workshop. Participants will sample western methods of sheet forming and make paper from a variety of plant fibers such as abaca, cattails, or iris leaves. Techniques covered will include laminating, embedding, embossing, and others. We will create sheets that may be used for a variety of projects or just framed as they are. Materials list provided.
